CEA Hazard Curve Calculator
Here we present an OpenSHA Hazard Curve Calculator that was delivered to the CEA on Jan 31, 2008. This application should be self explanatory for anyone that has knowledge of PSHA; please contact Ned (Edward) Field if you have questions or would like to arrange a training session.
This application requires that you have Java version 1.5 running on your computer. You can check your version of Java (and update if you have something less than Java 1.5) by following instructions at:
http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Simply download and double click the following *.jar file:
If you have problems try launching the application from thhe command line:
java -jar [Name of the Jar file downloaded]
If you think you may be having memory problems try instead:
java -jar -Xmx500M [Name of the Jar file]
Windows Users: When downloading the stand-alone applications, make sure they are saved with a ".jar" extension rather than ".zip" or ".WinZip" (the latter two are apparently the default for some users). You can achieve this either by using the "save as" option in your browser, or you may be able to simply change the extension to ".jar" after downloading.
